India will certainly become ‘Vishwaguru’, nobody should doubt country’s future: Bhagwat

Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said India will definitely become a ‘Vishwaguru’ and guide the world and no one should have doubts about the future of the country.

He also said that earlier people doubted whether the Ram temple would be built or not, but the temple came up. Likewise, it is certain that India will become the ‘vishwaguru’ (teacher of the world).

Bhagwat was speaking after laying the foundation stone of the ‘Bharat Durga Shakti Sthal’ temple on the premises of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in the Jamtha area on the outskirts of Nagpur city in the evening.

He said that the vision of India becoming a vishwaguru will be realized with consistent efforts and collective discipline and expressed confidence that such a transformation can be seen in the current generation.
The RSS chief said doubts about India’s future should be cleared.
“Do not doubt the future of India. Live with courage and self-confidence and apply these values in daily life. India will be strong and guide the world. People were doubting whether the Ram temple would be built, but it happened. Similarly, India is certain to have a vishwaguru,” he said.
“There should be no confusion about whether this will happen or not. What is destined will happen,” he said, citing the Ram temple movement as an example of the perseverance that led to ultimate success.

“If we act according to this determination step by step, India will become a strong, virtuous and global guide,” he said.

Bhagwat said that to truly understand India, people must first understand Bharat in depth and then start applying it in their daily lives.

“To worship Bharat Mata, we must be Bharat ourselves,” he said, adding that the country should be understood with its own civilizational values and not from a colonial or Western perspective developed over 150 years.

The RSS chief urged citizens to shed “Western layers of thought” and reconnect with Indian traditions in thought and behaviour.

He said that this transformation will start with small but meaningful changes in daily life such as language, clothing, food habits and cultural practices.

“India needs to be known, accepted and experienced in daily life,” he said, emphasizing that the vision of a strong and self-reliant India can only be achieved through such a process of self-realization.

He said the idea of worshiping Bharat Mata is not limited to rituals but requires individuals to transform themselves into Bharat in their own lives.

He said that the idea of a ‘Bharat Mata’ temple in Nagpur was conceived by the late Moropant Pingle.

According to him, the idea came about when the idols of Bharat Mata were transported through different routes in India during the journey of unity.

“It was then that Moropant Pingle came up with the idea of a Bharat Mata temple in Nagpur. It was not my imagination,” he said, adding that one of the four idols on the journey eventually arrived in Nagpur, but other national movements kept people busy for decades, delaying the project.

He said the existing hospital now includes the Bharat Mata temple, which symbolically represents power, knowledge and wisdom.

“Inspired by ‘Vande Mataram’, I felt that Bharat Mata should be in the form of Durga, the ten-armed goddess of power. Without power, truth alone cannot prevail in the world,” he said.

He said while India is rooted in truth, the rest of the world generally follows the principle that whoever has power is right.

Religious leaders like Shree Gurusharanji Maharaj, Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj, Swami Mitranandaji Maharaj, Sadhvi Ritambhara and Dhirendra Shastri were present at the event along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union minister Nitin Gadkari.

Fadnavis thanked the RSS chief for his vision of ‘Bharat Durga Shakti Sthal’ and said that it is a statue of power that will awaken a new consciousness in the country and inspire everyone.

Gadkari said the bhoomi pujan at the temple was a moment of luck for everyone.

“The inspiration behind this initiative is nation building. This will give motivation to the entire country for nation building,” he said.

Swami Avdheshanand Giri praised Bhagwat for his kind nature and outstanding leadership.

“Bharat is not a country but a goddess, so she should be worshiped,” he said.

“It is God’s will that India moves towards the vision of ‘Akhand Bharat’ and India regains its lost borders and after a while regains its lost glory,” he said, adding that the country will lead the world in the coming centuries.

Dhirendra Krishna Shastri praised RSS volunteers for their contribution to social services.

He urged citizens of India to have four children and dedicate one of them to the RSS.

Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj said that Nagpur was a center of inspiration for him and everyone. He emphasized the need to establish “Ram Rajya” and expressed concern over “love jihad”, saying it was now visible in the corporate world as well.

Sadhvi Ritambhara expressed her happiness with the temple and called for unity in the society.
