New Delhi: A 25 -year -old Canadian citizen, who was born in India and raised in the Pride in Haryana, is going viral online for something that only whispers in the Indian Diaspora. He wants to leave all behind – clean streets, technology work and the West “Dream” – and wants to return home. Not for a break, but for good.
@Reddit Post’s Reddit Post, which broadcasts under the competitive-group-80 tuft, titled “Return to India”. But there is nothing simple about what he wrote.
“25m, a citizen of Canadian and an Indian OCI. Single. I grew up in Gurgaon, I spent 11 years of my life there.
His words reflect unrest. Polished LinkedIn updates and the type that keeps the Diwali poles properly filtered from the West.
Since 2021, man has visited India 10 times. And every time the memories hurried. The familiar streets lost old scents and time.
“When I first got back, I felt like I had returned well in time. All my childhood memories are back,” he wrote.
He described emotion as a rewind button in the soul. He talked about roots and resistance.

However, some sounds carried signs of attention and real life warning signs. “Being on vacation is very different than living there. Try living there for six months,” he said.

The post turns into a growing change between young Indians abroad. Question the default script of success. He asks something uncomfortable – what if the West gives everything except joy?
Answers are not in immigrant documents or tax laws. They were stuck between a childhood and 10 return tickets to the past. And sometimes, these are the only tickets that matters.
