Iran’s supreme leader vows revenge for father’s killing

Iranian state media reported that the Revolutionary Guard said the Strait of Hormuz was closed until further notice. It came as Iran’s new religious leader Mojtaba Khamenei vowed to avenge his father’s killing, saying it was his country’s “demand”. Khamenei was not seen when the war started because he was seriously injured. His father was killed in US and Israeli air strikes early in the war.
