India has ‘central role’ in managing AI risks and opportunities, says Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei spoke about India’s important role in the development of Indian systems. Amodei was speaking at a panel discussion on Day 4 of the AI ​​Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam on Thursday.

In his speech at the summit, Amodei said that India has historically set a standard for the Global South and helped spread technology and humanitarian aid through the Global South, according to the PTI report.

Amodei said at the summit: “In many respects, we are increasingly closer to what I call the nation of geniuses in the data center, a set of AI agents that are more skilled at many things than most humans and can coordinate at superhuman speed. This level of capability is something the world has never seen before and brings with it a wide range of opportunities and concerns for humanity.”
