3 Maoists Killed in Gunfight with Security Forces

Ranchi: Police said that at least three members of a banned Maoist Minced Group were killed in armed clashes with the security forces in the Gumla region of Jharkhand on Wednesday morning.

The encounter between the security forces containing Jharkhand Jaguar and Gumla police and the Maoists of Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) took place in a forest area around 8 am under the borders of Bishnupur Police Station.

“Three JJMP Maoist was killed in an armed conflict. Three weapons were rescued from the site,” Ig (operations) and Jharkhand police spokesman Michael Raj S PTI.

He said a search operation is continuing.
