Best friend of both Prince William and Prince Harry facing tricky godfather decision

Choosing baptism fathers for your first born child is often considered a cheerful opportunity for any parent.
However, for the Duke of Westminster, both Prince William and Prince Harry’s close friend, he will turn into a headache as the alienation between the old close brothers continues.
Hugh Grosvenor’s wife, Olivia gave birth to her first children with a daughter named Cosima last month, and it seems that the Duke was discussing whether she wanted to be a baptism father from the Duke of Sussex.
He preserved close friendships to his friends with both princes who have known them since childhood, known as Hughie. He is also the only mutual friend chosen as his baptism for his eldest son Prince George and his six -year -old Prince Archie.
Although Westminsters’ friends say they haven’t made a final decision on whether they will include Harry, William seems to be a baptism father.
Last June, 34 -year -old Grovenor and his 32 -year -old wife married the Chester Cathedral with a generous ceremony serving as a usher with Wales Prince.
Sussexes was initially invited, and when Grosvenor asked them to exist, he was decided against them because of any risk of drama that overshadowed the royal family and the couple.
A friend of the brothers told Times: “It is incredibly sad to come to this. Hugh is one of the few close friends of William and Harry, who maintains a line of communication with both.
“He wanted to leave the day in the shade especially for Olivia and does not want any strangeness.”
By calling both brothers as their baptism, Harry and Meghan can be seen as an attempt to develop alienated relations since they left the royal family in 2020.
It seems that the two have not spoken since the death and funeral of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022.
King Charles did not see his youngest son after he had revealed the diagnosis of cancer since February 2024, Harry returned from Clarence House from California for a short meeting.
In a recent BBC interview, Harry said he was willing to end the alienation between him and the royal family in a recent BBC interview after losing the legal war with the government on the security financed by the taxpayer in May.
“There is no point in continuing to fight… Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me because I have written a book. Of course, they will never forgive many things. But I would love to compromise… I don’t know how long my father is. I will not talk to me.”
In a backup, Harry claimed that his father’s wife Camilla “sacrificed” in the “personal PR altar” to heal his own image, that Charles’s office leaked stories of drug abuse and had a physical debate on his relationship with William and Meghan.
