Jagan Slams CM over Killing of YSRC Activist

Vijayawada: YSRC president and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, blaming him for the murder of YSRC activist Manda Salman in Pinnelli village in Gurazala constituency.
The opposition leader underlined that Salman’s murder was part of the politically motivated violence in Andhra Pradesh. He asked whether Chandrababu Naidu was “fit to lead” AP as the vendetta politics continued.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Salman is a Dalit and a poor YSRC employee. When he went to his native village to see his sick wife, he was beaten to death with iron rods.
Describing the incident as “barbaric”, the former prime minister claimed that a fake case was filed against Salman after the murder and that it was an attempt to protect the perpetrators.
The YSRC president reiterated that the murder was part of a broader pattern of Telugu Desam and “some police officials” intimidating party workers to silence YSRC cadres.
Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed that hundreds of YSRC families fled Pinnelli village. Similar incidents took place in Palnadu and other places too.
Accusing Chandrababu Naidu of not fulfilling his constitutional duty, the former CM warned that the “politics of violence” would not be forgiven. He confirmed YSRC’s support to Salman’s family.
