JD Vance mocks MLB for warning Giants pitchers against writing Bible verses on ‘Pride Night’ caps

Vice President J.D. Vance weighed in on the sudden national controversy over San Francisco Giants pitchers writing Bible verses on their Pride Night hats.
In a post on X on Tuesday, Vance responded to the news that MLB was warning players not to write Bible verses on covers.
“Trump won, we don’t have to do this anymore,” Vance wrote.

The sudden controversy over the covers has shaken the sports world in recent days.

Genesis 9:12-16 is a passage from the Bible. This passage states that God created the rainbow as a permanent symbol of the covenant He made with Noah and all living creatures. It is stated that when God sees the rainbow, He will remember His “eternal covenant” to protect all life on earth from another global flood.
Roupp expressed his reason Saying after the match that the verse was about representing “God’s covenant”.
“It’s just about God’s covenant and a promise he made to us, you know, his faithfulness and his mercy,” Roupp told reporters. “This is something I believe in, and I stand firm in it, and I am grateful that we live in a country where we have the freedom to believe what we want and express what we want.
“There is no hate whatsoever. This is just what I stand for and stand for. I believe in God.”
Then on Tuesday, MLB issued an official warning to these players to not violate the rules and write on their hats.

“The text above the title violates our rules, and in accordance with normal practices, we have warned players of future violations,” Pat Courtney, MLB’s chief communications officer, said in a statement.
MLB’s warning sparked outrage on social media; Actor Rob Schneider promised to pay the players’ fines by writing them on their hats. Schneider was born to a Jewish father and a Catholic Filipino mother.

“I will pay the penalty for any MLB Christian player who wears a Bible verse on his jersey. MLB is ANTI-CHRISTIAN,” the actor wrote to X.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier told MLB: “You will be hearing from my office soon.
