Beijing is home to a large military parade – a show of power from President Xi Jinping

The scene is located in the heart of Beijing for a great power and military power demonstration by President Xi Jinping.

Eight Great Chinese Flags beats and surrounds the portrait of Mao Zedong, the founder of the Communist China, sitting on the Goksel Peace gate overlooking Tiananmen Square, one of the world’s largest public frames.

Below, Russia has seats for 26 foreign presidents, including Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un from North Korea.

Opposite the road, near the large hall of the people, II. Two large flower arrangements, which commemorate the end of World War II, are rising next to sitting for about 50,000 invitations.

On the last day of preparations – Monday – Chang’an Boulevard, the multi -lane road cut from the square was once again open to the public. Drivers and cyclists have done their best to capture their phones.

Apparently, the parade ceremony points to 80 years for Japan’s surrender to war and China’s victory against an invading power. But much more than what happened for President Xi.

This is a big week for him, with a few firsts. He convinced Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit China for the first time in seven years and restarted an important economic and strategic relationship.

More than 20 world leader Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) joined the summit, which concluded – the biggest meeting so far.

And a North Korean leader will first attend a Chinese military parade since 1959.

The Chinese leader brings up his moment.

The SCO Summit in Tianjin allowed him to reflect power and offer a new world of order, which he hoped to challenge the United States. Now attention is returning to the parade in Beijing, which will exhibit its country’s ability to rival the US in any conflict.

The leaders of Iran, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mongolia, Indonesia, Zimbabve and Central Asian countries will witness the formations of the unity, and take a look at the authorities that they will be new hyperonic weapons and unmanned underwater drones. The only Western leaders on the guest list are from Serbia and Slovakia.

Kim Jong Un is a surprise addition – participation was only announced at the end of last week – and the usual highway surrounded by armored trains and guards will contribute to the show.

Xi is expected to be with both who and Putin, which will inevitably define Western headlines or analysts as the “axis of turmoil”.

Although the parade is a demonstration of China’s power and Xi’s influence as a world leader, there is an open indigenous message: pride and patriotism.

China, II. He describes World War II as the “War of Resistance against Japanese aggression”, but most of the resistance is not from the Communist Party, but from the nationalists who lost the civil war to Mao and his powers and were largely cleared of national memory.

As he went to his anniversary, several films were published that depict this struggle, some of which were box -office hits. The state media publishes reports to “develop the right view of the history of World War II”.

The campaign caused some friction with Japan. Last week, Beijing held a protest with Tokyo, which states that Japan wanted to participate in the passage ceremony of European and Asian governments.

While China struggles with a stagnant economy, youth unemployment and house prices, all of this seems to be a part of a crying crying. The demand is weak and the latest data show that Trump’s tariffs hit the factory. And “Anti -Corruption” driving continues and reports in which high -ranking authorities have been investigated are continuing.

Especially among young people, there is discontent, even disappointment and leaked even on the Chinese internet that was strictly controlled.

Beijing is shaken in the flags, hundreds of thousands of people are in front of the city

The fear that this can spread to the real world is partly that directs the extra preparations that have become a demonstration of a party’s control of a capital house to more than 21 million people. As the parade ceremony approached, the city became quieter.

Airport security browsers were installed in some office entrances. All drones were banned and international journalists were visited at home to enable them to get a message, some of them were visited more than once.

The guards were deployed 24 hours a day at the entrance to overpasses and bridges to prevent protests in army uniforms.

Three years ago, when the party elected Xi as the leader for a historical third period, a protester filed a poster on a large highway bridge that criticized and called Xi. He was immediately taken and we still don’t know what happened to him.

But a moment when this party doesn’t want to live again.

The communist party officials spent planning and preparation for the first military parade in six years. More than 200,000 flags were established in the capital.

The more flower arrangement that depicts China’s struggle against Japan is proudly sitting at the leading roadside and intersections. There is even a new city “Light view” to illuminate buildings in the business area.

The Gate Ceremony Command officials said, “The inclusive principle … It is to avoid disturbing the people as much as possible,” he said.

But the parade for those living in Beijing accelerated life.

Tanks rolling on the streets during a weekly night can be heard and hiking sounds echoed far beyond the parade.

People living near Chang’an Boulevard, which led to Tiananmen Square, were told to stay away from their balconies to ensure that the rehearsals can be performed in confidentiality.

At the parade ceremony, schools, businesses and hotels will be closed for the next two days. There are multiple road deviations and metro lines closure that effectively paralyzed the transportation of the city center.

Even seizing a common city bike, which is the best way to wander around Beijing, can now be troublesome. Usually hundreds of metro stations and sidewalks are listed. However, recently, city workers are gathering them to remove them from the passage path. It is not an option to hire the strange thing left: bike will not move.

In the past, there are reports that China used the Air Force to make sure that there is a blue sky for the parade. The aircraft can manipulate the air to trigger rain through cloud seeds for one or two days in advance to ensure that it is clear later.

It is difficult to know whether this tactic is used this year, but predictions estimate the open sky. Beijing officials do not take any chance on President Xi’s big day.
