J&K L-G hands over appointment letters to kin of Nowgam blast victims

J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday handed over appointment letters to the next of kin of those killed in the Nowgam police station blast on November 14.
“We interacted with the families of those martyred in the accidental blast at Srinagar Lok Bhavan in Nowgam and delivered compassionate appointment letters to them. The entire nation stands in unity with the families of the martyrs to ensure that they live a comfortable and dignified life,” Mr. Sinha said.
The dead included nine people, including a State Investigation Agency (SIA) official, three Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) personnel, two crime photographers, two revenue officers and a civilian tailor.
Mr. Sinha commemorated the martyrs with mercy and expressed his gratitude to their families. “The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families to ensure that they live a comfortable and dignified life,” the J&K LG said.
He said the entire country was proud of J&K Police for stopping terrorism by uncovering and busting the terror network last month. He also appreciated the meticulous investigation of J&K Police and its all-round efforts to detect, intercept and prevent terrorist acts.
Mr. Sinha instructed senior officers to disrupt the terror financing pipeline and effectively counter radicalization attempts by some separatist elements.
