John Cena’s final match ends in defeat to Gunther at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Gunther defeated John Cena with a sleep hold in the main event
The match started with Cena taking control early, heavy strikes, shoulder tackles, and a first strike to the spine, followed by the Five Knuckle Shuffle. As Cena attempted an Attitude Adjustment, Gunther countered with a German suplex and a clothesline to stop the momentum.
Gunther connected with consecutive clotheslines, but Cena countered with more shoulder tackles and delivered the first Attitude Adjustment of the match. Gunther ducked the pin attempt and applied the sleeper hold, which Cena then reversed. Gunther reached the ropes to escape before driving Cena spine first into the ring apron and shoulder first into the ring steps.
The action spilled over as Gunther positioned Cena on the steps next to the announce table. Cena fought back, lifting Gunther up and performing an Attitude Adjustment onto the announce table before sending him back into the ring. Gunther went out of the pin again.
Cena followed with a top rope leg drop and a near fall. Trying to continue the attack, Gunther countered with a powerbomb. Cena countered with an Attitude Adjustment from the middle rope, but Gunther once again survived.
After forearm strikes, Gunther dodged another Attitude Adjustment attempt, set up a powerbomb on Cena, and connected with the Frog Splash. Cena charged out, but Gunther immediately locked in a sleeper hold. Despite Cena’s efforts to break free, Gunther continued to hold on and targeted Cena’s shoulder.
Moments later, John Cena ended his final match, handing Gunther the victory.
