Celebrity Traitors aired its most dramatic episode yet on Wednesday night, with Jonathan Ross finally being banished from the castle after a very tense roundtable.
The villainous 64-year-old comedian and presenter bid farewell to his castmates after receiving the most votes at the roundtable.
He received a whopping six votes, and even his two friends, Traitor Cat Burns and Alan Carr, turned on him as they became suspicious as the play progressed.

Jonathan the Traitor, who kept the other contestants on the edge of their seats until the end as he stood up and revealed himself, told the players: ‘I have no idea what everyone is doing wrong.
‘I can’t believe you did this again. ‘I can’t believe I’m standing here for no good reason so I don’t mean to be rude but you’re stupid.’

He received a whopping six votes and even attacked him when two of his friends, Traitor Cat Burns (left) and Alan Carr (right), became suspicious as the game progressed.
‘But I don’t judge it because it’s evil. I don’t blame the players, I blame the game. I have always remained completely faithful, now and throughout the game…’
After putting the stunned players’ heads in their hands, he dropped his bombshell: ‘To the traitors!’
Joe later described it as ‘the most ridiculous greeting ever’, while the others celebrated having finally caught their first Traitor.
Later Jonathan told the camera: ‘They caught me but I relaxed a bit and I’m glad Alan went for me too.
‘We were traitors from the beginning, but I hope in the honor of the deceased old member of the family that they will stick together and run towards victory!’
Comedian Lucy Beaumont is killed off at the beginning of the episode by face to face traitors After last Thursday’s episode, it left viewers on a huge cliffhanger.
It was up to him, Kate, and Nick to get on the giant chessboard.
And Lucy was angry at her friend The cat for choosing to kill her.
He told them: ‘I hope you feel very bad about yourselves.’
Then he looked at Cat and said: ‘I’m not happy with you at all. ‘You played that really well.’
Cat tried to calm her friend down by saying, ‘I’m sorry, Lucy.’
Fans of the series loved the drama of the episode as they went to X to react to Jonathan’s iconic breakup speech.
At the beginning of the episode, comedian Lucy Beaumont was face-to-face murdered by the Traitors after last Thursday’s episode left viewers on a massive cliffhanger.
It was up to him, Kate, and Nick to be led to the giant chessboard under the cover of darkness.
And Lucy was angry at her friend Cat for choosing to kill her. He told them: ‘I hope you feel very bad about yourselves.’
But Lucy retorted: ‘That’s not good enough.’
After Lucy was killed, she sat in front of the camera and said: ‘I can’t believe it’s Cat.
‘I totally let my emotions cloud things and I don’t want to believe it because I built a friendship with someone where she couldn’t do that.’
Meanwhile, the day’s task caused plenty of laughter as Alan left his fellow contestants in stitches as he tried to cross a shaky bridge.
Rugby player Joe won the shield while on duty.
The episode ended with a big twist, following the dramatic roundtable where Jonathan was killed.
Presenter Claudia Winkleman said before leaving the room: ‘You did it [finding a Traitor] Just in time because the exiled players will not reveal their true identities after tomorrow.’
When it came time for the next murder, instead of meeting at the tower, Alan and Cat were given separate letters.
They read: ‘Traitors, there will be no secret meeting in the tower tonight. Instead, you should kill him in front of everyone at dinner tonight.
To do this, a Traitor must say the words ‘Parting is such a sweet pain’ followed by their name in a toast to the player you wish to kill. You must do this before the night is over.’
Viewers will have to tune in to Thursday’s episode to see clearly who they chose to kill.
The episode comes after The Daily Mail revealed Celebrity Traitors star Ruth Codd called Jonathan ‘dazed’ and a ‘fucking snake’ after he was killed during a behind-the-scenes meltdown.
Sources on the show revealed to the Daily Mail that the 29-year-old Irish actress was ‘furious’ after being eliminated earlier in the series and took her anger out on host Jonathan, who she correctly predicted was a traitor, before exacting her revenge.
An insider revealed that Ruth was genuinely ‘angry’ and described her exclusion in the early stages of the competition as a ‘fucking joke’.
Ruth, known for her roles in Netflix series The Midnight Club and The Fall of the House of Usher, became the third contestant to leave after naming Jonathan as the prime suspect during the roundtable.
Singer Paloma Faith was sent packing following her elimination by former close friend Alan and accomplice Cat, as well as Olympic diver Tom Daley.
Ruth recently said there was an ‘unspoken hierarchy’ on the show that ‘puts some people like me at a disadvantage’ because, unlike some showbiz veterans like Jonathan, she hasn’t been in the industry very long.
A TV source revealed: ‘He was furious after Ruth was killed in the early stages of filming.
‘He called Jonathan a ‘fucking snake’ and actually left his anger behind the scenes.
Joe took the blame for believing Jonathan was a traitor
“Ruth was absolutely disappointed that her co-stars didn’t listen to her after she correctly identified Jonathan as the Traitor.
‘Ruth felt that many celebrities did not follow their instincts and reason, which meant the game was not always played properly.
‘It was a shame for him to be killed so early in the competition when he had so much more to give.’
The Daily Mail has contacted a Celebrity Traitors spokesperson for comment.
Traitors continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC1.
