Melbourne childcare worker Joshua Brown charged with more than 70 offences, including child rape
A man working at a series of children’s care centers in Melbourne was accused of more than 70 crimes, including child rape.
The Health Department recommends that approximately 1200 children to test for infectious diseases after the allegations.
Victoria police said on Tuesday, a 26 -year -old man of Point Cook, Joshua Dale Brown, arrested on May 12th and accused of crimes against eight alleged victims.
The alleged victims joined a Point Cook Children’s Care Center Between April 2022 and January 2023Police said.
Police said that since Brown’s arrest, the sexual criminal team detectives have been conducting an important investigation against Brown.
Brown worked in 20 children’s care centers between January 2017 and May 2025, including the western suburbs of Melbourne. The detectives also investigated the claim that Brown had committed more crimes at a second child care center in Essendon.
Victoria police, “This issue is being investigated as a priority,” he said.
The Ministry of Health, after the allegations of approximately 2600 families, parents, children and caregivers, and chief medical officer Christian McGrath said in a statement on Tuesday, suggesting that approximately 1200 children to test for infectious diseases, he said.
