June 2026 full Moon: How and when to see the Strawberry Moon rise in the UK

Following this week’s record-breaking heatwave in the UK, the door is opening to cooler, fresher air from the Atlantic.
In addition to the change in temperature, more unstable weather is expected in the weather forecast for the first half of the week.
While many places will be dry with sunny weather during the day on Monday, a low pressure area will approach during the evening and night.
This means thicker clouds and showers will move in from the west on Monday night.
Most of this cloudy and wet weather will affect Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England. The best chance for clear skies will be in the Midlands, Wales and southern England.

If weather prevents your chances of seeing this full moon, there are two more opportunities throughout the meteorological summer.
The Buck Moon, named after the period when male deer grow new antlers, will rise on July 29. This will be followed on August 28 by Sturgeon Month, named for the freshwater fish that Native Americans caught in the Great Lakes.
