Justin Bieber joins Madonna, Shakira, BTS at Fifa World Cup half-time show

Justin Bieber joins star-studded list part time artists Who will close the 2026 World Cup in New York?
The Canadian pop star will perform alongside Madonna, Shakira and K-pop group BTS at the tournament’s first Super Bowl-style halftime show on July 19.
The PS22 Choir, featuring Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel and Coldplay, and Sesame Street puppets will also feature in the 11-minute set supporting the Fifa Global Citizen Education Fund.
“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together like nothing else,” Bieber said.
In the spring, the Yukon and Peaches singer returned to the stage with a nostalgia-filled set at the Coachella festival in California; it was his biggest live show in four years after canceling his Justice world tour due to health issues.
The 32-year-old artist spent most of the concert in April sitting in front of a laptop and singing YouTube music videos of her old hits, including Baby, Never Say Never, One Time and Beauty and the Beat.
The FIFA halftime show is curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and will raise money for the Fifa Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative trying to raise $100 million (£73 million) for children around the world.
Colombian pop star Shakira and Nigerian musician Burna Boy, who are among the artists opening the tournament in the three host countries in North America, will also take the stage together.
Their global hit Dai Dai has dominated the music charts and become a fixture at the matches since the tournament launched last month.
