Karnataka High Court rejects X Corp’s petition challenging take down orders

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the Supreme Court of Karnataka enabled the social media platform ‘X’s petition to object to the authority to take over the order in accordance with the information technology law.

Justice M. Nagaprasanna, chaired by the bench, argued that social media should be organized, especially due to crimes against women.

The Court said, “Social media needs to be arranged, and the regulation of the social media is a necessity for the crimes against women, the right to honor appointed in the constitution of a citizen enters the railway,” he said.
