Karren Brady QUITS relegation-threatened West Ham with five games left of the season after facing years of fan backlash due to controversial stadium move and dire results

Baroness Karren Brady has left West Ham United.

The 57-year-old player has been working at the club for 16 years and was vice president.

His departure comes at a time when the club’s fans have been regularly protesting against the board, with chants that could be heard again at last night’s draw at Crystal Palace.

The move ends Brady’s working relationship with co-chairman David Sullivan, which dates back nearly 40 years.

West Ham joint chairman Daniel Kretinsky added: ‘I would like to thank Karren most sincerely for our collaboration since 2021 and for all the work she has done for the club in the past.

‘His contribution to the growth of West Ham United, such as the long-term contract for the London Stadium, the shareholder transition and Declan Rice’s record transfer to Britain, was absolutely significant and not always fully appreciated.

‘Karren is also very much appreciated within the Premier League leadership community and was an excellent representative of our club there. I wish him good luck in all his future activities.’
