Kate famously celebrated her 50th birthday at Laurent restaurant at The Ritz Paris in January 2024, and Lila admitted she took over a bit during the night.
She said: ‘My mum is staying there during fashion week and it was there where we celebrated her 50th while I sang Amy Winehouse’s Valerie on repeat. This wasn’t a karaoke party, but I turned it into a party.
Kate, who started her evening by meeting up with friends, was heard shouting “I haven’t seen you in a long time” in the venue’s candlelit smoking area; where he continued to share anecdotes about Mick Jagger.
The group then dined at the posh restaurant, known for its mousseline flan with golden caviar, blue lobster salad and cod confit with vierge sauce prepared by head chef Mathieu Pacaud, washed down with a much-loved house-made champagne cocktail – the £23 Laurent Spritz.
While her mother lives a pretty crazy life, 54-year-old Jefferson Hack Lila, whose father is the curator and CEO of Dazed magazine, claimed that her biggest bad habit is ‘TikTok before bed’.
And naturally, as one of the most stylish women in the world, she talked about her mother’s incredible personal fashion archive.
She said: ‘Mum finds me in her wardrobe at least once a week, but I know anything that’s truly off-limits will be hidden away. So yeah, that old Dior Bar jacket is mine.’
