King Charles to address US Congress during visit

House Speaker Mike Johnson said that King Charles will address the US Congress on April 28 during his visit to Washington DC.
Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, will visit the United States on a long-planned trip to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the country’s independence from British rule before visiting Bermuda, Buckingham Palace announced Tuesday.
The high-profile trip comes as the UK government hopes to repair relations with US President Donald Trump damaged by the Iran war.
It will be the first state visit by a UK monarch since 2007, when Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth, made the fourth US trip of her reign.
Trump said that the King and Queen’s visit will begin on April 27 with a banquet dinner at the White House the next day.
