Although the US President is an avowed admirer of the royal family, he regularly criticizes UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and describes UK aircraft carriers as “toys” compared to their US counterparts. The King is, of course, the head of the British Armed Forces. Political relations between the US and the UK and other NATO allies are also at a dangerously low level.
