Qantas flight diverted after smell detected on board

A Qantas flight had to be re-routed to Adelaide after an odor was detected on board.
It is understood that Qantas flight QF857, after taking off from Canberra on Friday night, was diverted to Adelaide after taking off from Canberra due to an odor on board, before heading to Perth.
The flight landed at Adelaide Airport around 01:00 in the morning, with a priority landing since it was after the airport’s curfew hours.
The aircraft was then inspected by the engineering team and made ready for service again as of Saturday.
It now appears that all passengers have reached their final destination.
A Qantas spokesperson said: “We know this will be a frustrating experience for our customers and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.”
“Passengers were re-boarded on flights from Adelaide this morning to continue their journey to Perth.”
