Law and order remain sensitive but under control: Manipur CM

Manipur Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh on Saturday, April 18, 2026, said that law and order in the state remains sensitive but is under control. CM Singh made this statement after a meeting with Assam Rifles IGAR (South) at State Secretariat in Imphal.
“IGAR’s briefing [South] Major General Gaurav Sharma is at the secretariat today [April 18, 2026] “He reaffirmed that the law and order situation in the state is fragile but under control and the security forces are responding to all disturbances with utmost care and restraint,” the Prime Minister said in his Facebook post.
