Liverpool man charged after Antoine Semenyo racially abused

A Liverpool man has been accused of racial abuse after Bournemouth footballer Antoine Semenyo was targeted during a match at Anfield.
The Ghanaian international flagged the poor treatment of referees during his side’s match against Liverpool on 15 August. The match was temporarily stopped in the 29th minute.
Mark Mogan, 47, of Templehill Close, Dovecot, was charged with a racially aggravated section 5 public order offence.
Merseyside Police confirmed that Mr Mogan was granted conditional bail and will appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on 22 December.
During the match Merseyside Police said a man was identified and removed from Anfield.
Liverpool won the match 4-2 in the first match of the Premier League.
