London’s Gatwick Airport hit by water supply problem
LONDON, July 26 (Reuters) – Water supply to London Gatwick Airport was cut off on Sunday following a power outage at local treatment facilities, airport officials told X.
Passengers said on social media that the problem had led to flushers not working and restaurants and bars to close.
Local water supplier SES Water said the water treatment plant was restored to operation on Sunday afternoon.

“We now need to treat the water before restoring services to normal as quickly as possible,” he said in a statement.
Gatwick, England’s busiest airport after Heathrow, said that water supplies in both terminals were affected.
“Bottled water is being offered to passengers and staff throughout the airport and other emergency measures are being put in place to ensure the well-being of our passengers,” the statement said.
