Madness frontman Suggs sings at emotional vigil for Finbar Sullivan, 21, who was stabbed to death at Primrose Hill

Madness frontman Graham ‘Suggs’ McPherson sang at a memorial attended by hundreds of people last night for a 21-year-old film student stabbed to death in Primrose Hill.
Suggs sang “It Must Be Love” as balloons were released into the sky in memory of Finbar Sullivan, who was stabbed at the beauty spot in the early evening hours of April 7.
Famous faces along with their friends and family gathered at the viewing point in Primrose Hill on Sunday evening.
These included The Jam’s Paul Weller, Dexys Midnight Runners frontman Kevin Rowland, Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie and The Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock.
Pictures of Mr. Sullivan were placed at the gate of the park, along with dozens of candles and bunches of flowers.
Some of his favorite songs were sung and a moment of silence was observed.
Mr Sullivan, known to his friends as Fin or Sully, was a student at the London Academy of Film.
According to his father, he had gone to Primrose Hill to test the new camera he had bought for his birthday.

Chris Sullivan said his son aspires to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, cameraman Michael Seresin, who worked on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Rambo III.
Mr Sullivan, a club promoter known for founding the Wag Club in London, said after the vigil: ‘This follows the stabbing death of my son very close to this spot on 7 April.
‘We decided to do a little tribute to him and bring all these people together.
‘I was very impressed to see the diaspora of people, ages, races, colors and beliefs, and they made us proud.
‘That’s why I think Finbar’s legacy should be unity, love and peace.’
He added that he was not surprised that hundreds of people turned out for the vigil because his son was “like a magnet for people.”
Mr Sullivan said his son was ‘full of jokes’ and ‘a truly loving person’, adding: ‘He’s the only thing I’ve ever thought about.’
‘So it’s like having both your legs amputated, you know, you always remember they’re gone and you never forget them, but it’s always going to be hard to deal with it. I don’t expect an easy journey.’
The 21-year-old actor, who studied at the London Screen Academy, prepared music videos for drill rap artists under the name Sully Shot It.

Balloons were released at the memorial ceremony held in memory of Finbar, whom his father described as a ‘long-haired middle-class boy’.
Mr Sullivan, 65, described Finbar as a ‘long-haired middle-class boy’ who lived with him in a £1 million flat in Maida Vale.
She said: ‘I’m so heartbroken I can’t believe it. He was the most beautiful, cute, outgoing, loving child in the world. He was a really nice person. And we have no idea why he was targeted.
‘He had bought a new camera, we all contributed to his 21st birthday and he took it there to do some filming.’
Mr. Sullivan said his son was working on a film with Vivienne Westwood’s son, Joe Corre.
Finbar left his home in Maida Vale, north-west London, at around 4.30pm and said he would be home later to prepare dinner for his father, artist and musician Chris Sullivan, who is also one of London’s arts world’s leading lights.
He was due to arrive in Primrose Hill at around 5pm, just a few miles from home, after arranging to meet friends, including his best friend AJ, who was visiting from Nottingham University for the Easter break.
They planned to do what young lads do on sunny afternoons in London: relax, play music (Finbar has made videos for up-and-coming rappers) and chat.
But at 6.41pm, Finbar had been fatally stabbed when police were called to reports of a fight at the top of Primrose Hill, where the view stretched across the city.
He suffered multiple injuries, including a fatal injury to his leg that severed an artery. His friend AJ was also probably injured (Finbar’s family believes) while trying to protect Finbar. It was 6:45 p.m. when AJ staggered into a nearby bar for shelter.
Finbar’s father Christopher says Finbar’s death was ‘the worst tragedy I could imagine’
There were frantic scenes as terrified bystanders, including a woman with a son of the same age, tried to save Finbar’s life, holding him and comforting him.
Paramedics attempted CPR for 20 minutes, but when his distraught father arrived, alerted by friends, Finbar was gone and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Within minutes, images of the fight spread on social media.
Three people were charged with the murder: Ernest Boateng (25), Alexis Bidace (25) and Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu (27).
A fourth person, 18-year-old Khalid Abdulkadir, was also charged separately in connection with the same incident.
The suspect is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to a second alleged victim, violent disorder and possession of a knife.
