Magnitude 4.5 earthquake rocks city of Orange in Central West NSW

The city of Orange in the Central West region of NSW was shaken by a 4.5 magnitude earthquake.
The earthquake occurred around 8:20 pm on Tuesday, just south of the Canobolas State Forest, near the Cadia gold mine.
Geosciences Australia states the depth is around 5km.

More than 2,000 people reported feeling the earthquake, which extended as far south as Batemans Bay.
The ABC reported that homes in Orange, 35 km north of the epicenter, shook for about 30 seconds.
The previous record earthquake felt in Orange was in 2017, the broadcaster reported.
