Maharashtra Cabinet Approves Major Infrastructure Projects

Mumbai: In a major edition to strengthen the urban transport infrastructure, the Maharashtra cabinet approved the Metro Line 11 project that connects Anik Depot -wadala to the passage of India on Wednesday and the estimated 23.487.51 RS. The cabinet also made loans for other metro initiatives, including Than Circular Metro, Pune Metro Line-4 and Line-4 and Nagpur Metro Faz-2.
The decisions were taken during a cabinet meeting headed by Prime Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Sahyadri Guest House.
According to the Prime Ministry Office (CMO), the Metro Line will be an extension of the Line 11 Metro Line 4 (Wadala -than – Kasara Vadavli) and will be applied by Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL). Approximately 70 percent of the corridor will be underground containing 13 underground stations and an upgraded station. The project has already received infrastructure permission from the cabinet sub -committee.
The cabinet also approved the purchase of 238 air-conditioned local train under the KUTP-3 and MUTP-3A and approved a provision of 4,826 RS.
In addition, Panvel -vasai, Tasara -Asangaon and Badlapur -Karjat, including 136 km of the new suburban railway corridor was allocated 14,907 RS Crore. The proposal between Pune and Lonavala was also cleared of the third and fourth suburban railway lines with an investment of 5,100 Crore.
In a welfare -oriented movement, Cabinet Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana and Shravanbal Seva Rajya retirement program approved a 1,000 RS march for monthly aid. As of October 2025, the monthly aid will rise to 1,500 RS for 1,500 RS for 24,003 beneficiaries under the Niradhar Yojana 4.5 Lakh Utility and Shravanbal program. To support this increase, an additional RS 570 Crore has been allocated.
