Maiden flight of HTT-40 series production aircraft

TH 4001, the first Hindustan Turbo Trainer-40 (HTT-40) Series Production aircraft, performed its maiden flight here on Friday.

HTT-40 is an indigenous Basic Trainer Aircraft (BTA) designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the Indian Air Force (IAF).

“The first HTT-40 Series Production aircraft, TH 4001, which will train the next generation of Air Warriors, took to the skies at the HAL facility in Bengaluru on Friday. The HTT-40 Basic Training Aircraft is a fully aerobatic, tandem-seat, turboprop aircraft built to provide basic flight training, aerobatic, instrument flying and night flying,” HAL said.
