Man, 40, raced to hospital after electrocution at Qld agricultural business

A man was taken to hospital after being electrocuted during an incident at a workplace in Ipswich.
The 40-year-old man died from electrocution just before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday while working at a Dickson Ag construction site, an industrial agriculture operation in the Carole Park suburb.
Medical teams were called to the scene and treated the seriously injured man.
Queensland Police told NewsWire the man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
He continues to receive treatment there.
Police, along with Work Safe Queensland, are investigating the incident.
The incident comes just a day after a workplace incident in another state in which a 55-year-old worker died of electrocution.
A Melbourne man died of electrocution after his scissor lift crashed into power lines.
WorkSafe is investigating the accident.

According to SafeWork’s latest data published last October, Queensland recorded the highest number of workplace accident deaths in the country.
In 2024, 188 workers lost their lives in workplace accidents across Australia.
Of these, 53 died in Queensland and 48 in NSW.
The vast majority of victims are men, accounting for 96 percent of total deaths.
