Man gains access to girlfriend inside Okla. Co. Detention Center after allegedly posing as an attorney

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – An Oklahoma man was arrested for allegedly posing as a lawyer to gain access to his girlfriend, who was locked up in the Oklahoma County Detention Center.

According to probable cause, on Oct. 13, Aaron Oldham went to the attorney visiting area of ​​the Oklahoma County Detention Center, claiming to be a lawyer, and asked to see Christine Hillier. Hillier is being held in jail on a warrant out of Nevada.

Teacher who harassed a student with autism in Oklahoma City was arrested

Oldham referred to Hillier as his client, according to court documents. After entering the lawyer’s visiting booth, the duo filled out the power of attorney paperwork and then began kissing and hugging. Investigators say Oldham had no legal training and was not licensed to practice law.

When she was arrested, Oldham told deputies she believed she had attorney-client privilege because she was Hillier’s girlfriend.
