Man held for allegedly killing friend

A 61-year-old man was arrested by Kothamangalam police on Wednesday for allegedly killing a 50-year-old friend by hitting him on the head with a gun at Varappetty near Kothamangalam. The person arrested is Francis of Parayampady, Varappetty.

The victim, Sijo, 50, from Erambra, was found dead in the bedroom of Francis’ home. Police launched an investigation after Francis’ neighbor reported the incident.

Kothamangalam police registered a murder case against Francis under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhitha.
