Man in serious condition after being hit by car in front yard in Tasmania

A man was hit by a car in the front yard of a house in Tasmania.

Police said a 25-year-old woman known to the man drove a white Holden station wagon into the front garden of a house in Bounty St, Warrane, and hit the 29-year-old at 1.12am on Friday.

“The man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Hobart Hospital and is in a serious condition,” a police spokesman said.

“The woman is in custody while investigations into the cause of the accident continue.”
