Reba McEntire defends Dolly Parton against fake AI-generated photos

Reba McEntire opposes the use of AI-generated images.
The “Fancy” singer posted a message to her Instagram Stories on Thursday criticizing the use of AI-generated images to support fellow country music star Dolly Parton.
“You tell ’em, Dolly,” McEntire wrote. “This AI mess makes us do a lot of crazy things. You die over there, I give birth to babies over there. We both know you’re too young, and I’m too old for this kind of nonsense.”
McEntire was referring to AI-generated images that show the 70-year-old star and her fiancé Rex Linn posing with an ultrasound photo while Linn cradles McEntire’s pregnant belly.

Another fake photo that recently circulated online shows Parton lying in a hospital bed connected to a tube, while McEntire prays next to her bed and wipes tears from her eyes.
Representatives for McEntire did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
“You’re dying over there, and I’m having babies over here. We both know you’re too young, and I’m too old for this kind of nonsense.”
The “deathbed” image of Parton began circulating after Parton announced last month that her planned six-night residency in Las Vegas would be postponed from December 2025 to September 2026 due to some “health issues.”
In response to the footage, Parton posted a video on Instagram telling her followers, “If I were really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one on my death bed,” adding that she hoped McEntire “could come visit me sooner.”

The singer’s sister, Frieda, further expressed her concerns about Parton’s health when she asked fans to join in prayer for the singer.

“Many of you know that he hasn’t been feeling very well lately,” Frieda wrote on Facebook. “I truly believe in the power of prayer and have been led to ask all the world who love it to become prayer warriors and pray with me.”
Parton dispelled rumors that she would die on Instagram earlier this week, telling fans, “I’m not ready to die yet.”
“I didn’t take care of myself, so I let a lot of things go that I needed to take care of,” Parton said. “When I took care of that, the doctor said we have to take care of it, we have to take care of it. It’s not a big deal, but I had to cancel some things to be closer to home, closer to Vanderbilt, where I’m getting some treatments here and there.”

McEntire also addressed Parton’s health concerns, which she mentioned in her latest Instagram story, telling her friend: “You better know I’m praying for you. I love you with all my heart and can’t wait to see you soon. I love you!”
