Man stabbed and flown to hospital after brawl at Merrigum caravan park

A man was taken to hospital after allegedly being stabbed after a violent fight involving several people at a caravan park.
Police said they went to Waverly Avenue Park in Merrigan around 3:45 a.m. Saturday, where they found several people believed to be involved in an alcohol-fuelled fight.
A 30-year-old man from the local area was found seriously injured in a cabin before being treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.
Two men, a 28-year-old from Cootamundra in NSW and a 51-year-old from Merrigum, were arrested near the scene of the fight.
Victoria police said they also seized a knife at the scene.
Major Crime Scene Unit teams arrived at the scene and are investigating the scene.
Shepparton Criminal Investigation Unit detectives will interview the men and are urging anyone with information about the crime to come forward and contact those who stopped the crime.
