A few people were wounded after stabbing and applying a car to public members in a synagogue in Greater Manchester.

Dave Rich of the Community Security Foundation, a charity that follows antisemitism in the UK, said, “Yom Kippur is the most sacred day of the Jewish year.

“A very serious day and synagogues around the country will be full throughout the day.

“At all great Jewish festivals, there is always a significant security operation between the police and CST in the Jewish community.”

He said that he was similar to the Christmas Day for Christians in terms of religious importance in the year, but that he was the day of seriousness and fasting instead of celebration.
