Taxpayers will spend $55 billion in 2030 instead of the projected $70 billion. Mr Butler said growth in federal spending on the NDIS would slow to just 2 per cent a year for the next four years, then return to 5 per cent from 2030, and an initial significant cut would be needed to overhaul the scheme.
