Mark Latham ordered to pay $100k in landmark sexual harassment case

New South Wales independent MP Alex Greenwich has won his libel and sexual harassment case against upper house MP Mark Latham.

The NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) issued its decision on Thursday.

After Mr Greenwich filed a lawsuit against the former federal Labor leader over four public statements that Mr Latham claimed breached the state’s Anti-Discrimination Act.

Mr Latham was ordered to pay Mr Greenwich $100,000 in damages and to remove any material defaming Mr Greenwich within 24 hours.
