Matt Damon reveals the one ‘non-negotiable’ rule in his 20-year marriage to Luciana Barroso
Matt Damon opened up about his family life with longtime wife Luciana Barroso and revealed the rule they refuse to break.
The 55-year-old actor, who starred in The Odyssey, has daughters named Alexia (27), Isabella (20), Gia (17), Stella (15) and Barroso (49).

Damon admitted that despite the app, they sometimes had a hard time staying there.
‘One of my daughters said: ‘Family dinner, we didn’t talk last night.’ And we realized: “Oh my God, you’re right.” ‘We sit down to dinner and you may get a little lost in the routine and not understand why you set it up.’

“We have family dinner every night and that’s non-negotiable and it’s always been that way,” said the father of four, who is married to Luciana Barroso.
Damon and Barroso met at a bar in Miami in 2003 before marrying in December 2005.
Two of his daughters left home, the younger two remained.
“I feel like we’re facing it and embracing the fact that it’s happening,” the Boston native said, referring to becoming empty-nesters in the near future.
‘We’ve talked a lot about presence and trying to really be in the moment, and since you can’t slow down time, the only way to really do that is to really be there and in it.’
He added that he and his wife were “trying to be careful to do the best we can.”
Earlier this year, Damon revealed on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show that he thought Barroso’s Good Will Hunting co-star Ben Affleck was the “cute person” in the classic film.
Months after their romance began, he discovered that his now-wife was initially more attracted to his longtime Boston friend.
‘After we had been together for a short while, probably a few months, she confessed: I think I met her best friend in high school and it turned out the two of them went and watched Good Will Hunting together and her best friend thought I was cute and she thought Ben was cute.
‘So he confessed to me… ‘Did you get it wrong?’ I thought. Yıldız told me this 23 years ago.

Damon appears alongside a star-studded cast in Christopher Nolan’s new epic The Odyssey, which opens Friday.
The film is an adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek story of the same name; The Greek king mentioned in this story embarks on a dangerous journey home after the Trojan War in order to reunite with his wife Penelope.
Damon plays Odysseus, while Anne Hathaway, 43, plays his devoted queen who is forced to fend off potential suitors in her husband’s absence.
The project has been called Nolan’s ‘most extreme’ venture to date.
Known for his blockbuster films, this latest film may be his most ambitious, with a budget of $250 million, the most expensive film of his career, and the first film shot entirely with IMAX 70mm cameras.
