‘A lie told often enough can start to sound like the truth, and so I tell you this, I have not cheated nor have I ever had the intention or desire to cheat. I believe Maya deserves all the respect in the world.
‘The reasons for our separation are private and our own and we have both handled the situation very maturely. Since my personal life concerns only me, I have always preferred to remain silent on these issues.

Maya announced that she ended her relationship with football player Ruben Dia in April after 18 months.
But after just over 24 hours, he unfollowed her after she couldn’t follow him back.
Months earlier, he had used the same tactic on Scottish brunette Claire in November 2025, but there were no allegations that the footballer was unfaithful during his relationship with Maya.
A source told The Sun: ‘This may seem like simple online stalking but that is the intention behind it; stalking someone to see if they interact, and always doing it late at night, is a seedy thing.
‘It shows you sitting scrolling through Instagram and what happens if they follow back or DM?’
