Mega investment project for electric vehicle manufacturing coming up in Rajasthan

A mega investment project for electric vehicle manufacturing is coming up in the Ghiloth industrial area of ​​Neemrana tehsil along the Delhi-Jaipur national highway in Rajasthan. The facility, which will be built on 65.56 decares of land, will play an important role in the supply of affordable e-buses throughout the country and in supporting the renewable energy sector.

PMI Electro Mobility Solutions will invest 1,200 billion Indian rupees to build the state-of-the-art facility as per the memorandum of understanding signed at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit held in Jaipur in December 2024. In addition to assembling electric buses, the facility will produce bus bodies, electric motors, batteries, wiring harnesses and other key components.

The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has allotted the land in Ghiloth for the bus manufacturing facility. A delegation from the private company met Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma here on Tuesday and informed him about the plans for the proposed annual production capacity of 33,000 units.

Mr. Sharma said the project will help the state become a leading hub for electric vehicle manufacturing in the country. “This initiative will create numerous direct and indirect employment opportunities for young people who will also receive training in the emerging field of electromobility,” he said.

The new facility is expected to pave the way for green industrialization and sustainable mobility in Rajasthan. The facility will support the local economy, reduce environmental pollution and strengthen sustainable urban development in the state.
