WAGs were strong to support their partners when England took on Panama in their third World Cup match in New Jersey on Saturday night.

Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan, Ollie Watkins’ wife Ellie and Declan Rice’s girlfriend Lauren Fryer were among the first to arrive, proudly wearing their red England jerseys as they headed to the New York-New Jersey Stadium.

For English fans in the United Kingdom the match started at 10pm; But for celebrity wives and girlfriends, this was prime viewing time to watch their man play.

The game came under a little more pressure after a 0-0 draw with Ghana in the group stages on Tuesday night.

The frustrating match got off to a great start after the Three Lions defeated Croatia 4-2 in their first match.

Ahead of the match, Megan, 30, took to Instagram to pose in her red England jersey before sitting in the stands with son Arlo, seven, and daughter Ostara, three.

She also shared photos on Instagram of their daughter Ostara wearing a sparkly ‘Dad shirt’ for the game.

Thousands of England fans flocked to New York for the team’s final group match against Panama and cheered them on in the knockout rounds.

Flights from the UK are sold out as die-hard fans cross the Atlantic for the match, which will kick off at 5pm local time at New York’s Met Life Stadium, or 10pm on the way home.

The sheer number of bars and nightlife on offer meant fans didn’t have the chance to drink it neat in the Big Apple, but they gave it a good shot with packed venues all over Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Carragher’s pub, a popular fan haunt, was taken over as The England Band played ‘Don’t Take Me Home’, accompanied by huge cheers to the theme tune from The Great Escape.

Many places charged $10 per beer, but word spread quickly that a bar a few minutes from the ground on the Hudson River in Hoboken, New Jersey, was charging only $1.

In fact, Green Rock Tap Grill was encouraging fans to come out with a sign advertising discounted beer ‘especially if you’re British’.

The 78,576-capacity stadium is where Oasis played a string of gigs last summer and if England beat Panama to top Group L, the sounds of Wonderwall will echo once again.

At least half the stadium is expected to be Three Lions fans, but a significant minority of Panama fans also made the trip and took over Times Square dancing, singing with a band and waving flags.

It comes after WAG Ellie posted a hilarious update telling her excited followers she was bra shopping after her wardrobe malfunction earlier this week.

Ellie, 30, wife of Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins, forgot to pack vital underwear when she went to the Ghana game in Boston.

This led to her describing the day as a ‘nightmare’ and she had to change her ‘planned summer outfit’ due to the miserable rainy weather.

As a result, he changed his wardrobe to a white T-shirt. jeans and a red jacket complete with an England baseball cap – she even jokingly quipped at Roy Keane, asking if he “approved” after his criticism of WAGs wearing shirts with their partners’ names on them.

Ahead of the game, Megan took to Instagram to pose in a red England shirt, which she wore with a denim skirt.

Striker Ollie’s wife Ellie Watkins (left) was also sharing on social media before the match wearing a similar red shirt.

Megan also shared photos of their three-year-old daughter Ostara, wearing a bright ‘Dad shirt’ for the game.

Megan also joked that she wanted fans to wish her luck as she took her daughter to watch the game.

Ellie was seen getting ready in her hotel room before the match.

She looked amazing with her jeans combination and red accessories

But on Wednesday, after flying from Boston to New York, she posted an update on her social media, cheekily telling fans she had “got the goods” and posting a photo of models wearing bras, adding a laughing emoji.

Although the store is not named, the image matches the display of Skims, a trendy lingerie company that has a flagship store on 5th Avenue in the heart of New York’s shopping district.

The brand’s bras range from $78 for the popular push-up style to $34 for the basic, and according to fashion bible Women’s Wear Daily, Skims had a number of high-profile campaigns featuring A-listers like Kim Kardashian, Charli XCX, Lana Del Rey and Sabrina Carpenter.

Del Rey and Carpenter are said to have earned $10 million in revenue from the advertising bombardment, while British star Jude Bellingham also spearheaded the men’s underwear campaign with singing superstar Usher.

Ellie told her 31,000 followers how she continued her shopping spree by stopping by Louis Vuitton’s flagship store, where Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan bought her a $660 calfskin World Cup wallet as a gift.

Both women later met Ellie for lunch and shared a photo of a delicious-looking cream cake with icing decorations while enjoying a lunch date with Megan.

Other WAGS in New York include John Stones’ wife Olivia, Bukayo Saka’s girlfriend Tolami Benson and Bellingham’s partner Ashlyn Castro, some of whom visited popular New York nightclub Somewhere Nowhere in the heart of Manhattan this week.

The eclectic night spot on the 39th floor has a wonderland lounge, nightclub and rooftop pool with $20 cocktails and is popular with A-list stars like Cardi B and Jaden Smith.

Wives, girlfriends and family members opted not to fly back to their headquarters in Florida because of the short turnaround time between games and stayed in New York, flying there on Wednesday.

A few hours after her arrival, Megan had gone to the shops, visiting the Louis Vuitton store in Manhattan, where she purchased the $660 green wallet decorated with a football field and players with red-and-blue stripes.

Louis Vuitton revealed on its website that the cowhide wallet brings a ‘dynamic touch’ and Megan said on her social media: ‘I bought my husband a special World Cup wallet.’

Other photos she shared on Instagram show her shopping at Cristian Dior and the couple heading out for a traditional New York corn dog snack.
