Meghan Markle leaves King Charles ‘sad and disappointed’ | Royal | News

Meghan Markle is said to have left King Charles “disappointed and upset” with her latest move, adding extra tension to what was once a very close relationship. Royals have previously reported that the monarch and his daughter-in-law are quite fond of each other and share a friendly, loving relationship. But after years of family turmoil, the relationship appears tarnished, with Harry and Meghan’s latest drama eliminating the possibility of a full reconciliation.

A source said Meghan was unhappy with the way her security situation was handled.

A source told journalist Rob Shuter on Substack: “This was too much of an insult. Meghan thinks they backed down for Harry’s family, but they’re embarrassed again. As far as she’s concerned, she’ll never see them again.”

Meanwhile while talking OLBGFormer royal butler Grant Harrold said Meghan’s return to the UK could be a turning point for him. He explained: “This trip could have been a huge turning point for Meghan because it could have been a huge step forward in terms of relations between her and the royal family.

“A private, face-to-face meeting with her mother-in-law was their next positive step towards relieving the grief. It would also do wonders for her in terms of public perception.”

He added: “If it doesn’t come, nothing will get better. I think it’s basically saying that if it doesn’t happen on our terms, it won’t happen. Even though that wasn’t their intention, it comes out that way.”

“I think she will be very upset, not only about missing the meeting, but also about what this means for the future. I would like to know if Meghan has personally messaged the King to apologize.”
