“I mean, my whole thing, my job in the live music world, is people coming in to have the best time they can and forget about all their problems, the world’s problems, their mortgages and whatever, for two hours or whatever,” he said.

Jagger made it clear that he was more interested in making sure his fans left feeling good at the end of the concert, emphasizing that he “didn’t want to lecture them” about anything.
Although he does not feel the need to “lecture” his fans at his concerts, he does not go beyond expressing his own opinion and making social comments in his lyrics.
“I’ve also gotten into the habit of making songs about personal relationships, and then I put a poem in there about politics,” he explained. “I think that’s a trick I’ve learned from other songwriters or from listening to others, because no one wants to listen to an entire song about politics or social commentary.”
Although the musician told interviewer David Marchese that his main goal when performing was to entertain, he sparked a minor fight between himself and the governor of Louisiana while performing in New Orleans in May 2024.
