The insider said: “From Meghan’s perspective the timing couldn’t be clearer. “She and Harry have just returned from this amazing trip abroad. [to Australia] and eventually they started getting positive press and suddenly Kate was everywhere again.

“He doesn’t believe for a moment that it’s a coincidence that Kate took a trip with him right after he went on a successful trip abroad with Harry.”

According to the source, Meghan is adamant that Catherine was “competitive” with her from the beginning.

They added: “Meghan says this whole appearance and project rollout from Kate is a calculated move to shift the focus back to herself and the monarchy. “Meghan has always said Kate was unnecessarily competitive with her from the moment they first met, and in her view, this is more of the same.

“It is clear that she is trying to re-establish her territory, and Meghan believes this is because Kate feels threatened.”

They also added: “Meghan says that just as she and Harry started to gain momentum, the royal machine suddenly sprung into action and stole the spotlight from them again, and she’s sick and tired of it.”

Harry will travel to England in July for the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

It is speculated that Meghan and her two children, seven-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet, may join her in the UK.
