Meghan Markle’s biggest ‘contradiction’ she just can’t shake | Royal | News

Meghan Markle is claimed to have a huge “contradiction” she can’t deal with, a brand and culture expert has said. Since stepping down from royal life alongside Prince Harry in 2020, the Duchess of Sussex has spent the last six years trying to build her own personal brand.
Speaking about this, brand and culture expert Nick Ede said: “Meghan has spent the last few years repositioning herself as a lifestyle entrepreneur, producer and businesswoman.
“His business identity is now increasingly rooted in America rather than Britain, so it feels natural for him to stay there.
“However, there is always a contradiction that critics point out.
“Meghan has worked hard to establish herself outside the institution, yet she continues to use the title of Duchess of Sussex as one of the most valuable assets of her personal brand.”
He continued: “It’s a balancing act because this title undoubtedly opens doors globally, but it also keeps him intrinsically connected to the Royal Family from which he remains estranged.
“My advice would be to decide on a clear long-term strategy. If Meghan wants to build an enduring global lifestyle empire entirely on her own terms, then increasingly less emphasis on her royal title would demonstrate her confidence in the power of her own name.”
Prince Harry returned to his country on Monday. It is believed his family did not fly with him earlier in the week as originally planned because he did not have taxpayer-funded armed police protection.
This meant it needed time to organize an enhanced security suite.
