Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently touring Australia, but the royal couple has kept some of their planned events under wraps. According to reports since then, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, has quietly slipped away to star in a popular Aussie show.
The couple flew to Melbourne early Tuesday morning and will return to Los Angeles from Sydney after completing their activities at the weekend. So far on her trip Down Under, Meghan has made a solo visit to a women’s shelter in Melbourne and then rejoined Harry for a meeting with veteran families at the Australian National Veterans Art Museum. Meghan and Harry were shown different works at the Australian National Veterans Art Museum.
The couple, who are no longer royals and are visiting the country privately, will combine charity visits alongside their money-making events.
Sources claimed the Duchess of Sussex was filming a special guest role on MasterChef Australia during a gap in her and Harry’s tight travel schedule.
Australian showbiz reporter Tom Ford made the latest announcement on social media.
He wrote: “Breaking news; It’s not actually a day of rest for Meghan. She’s been busy filming Masterchef as a guest judge. Not sure if she’s cooking up anything other than a delicious appearance fee!”
Meghan’s publicist has since confirmed that she joined News.com Australia as a guest judge.
“Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, appeared as a guest judge on the country’s favorite cooking show as part of her first visit to Australia since 2018,” the statement said.
“Meghan has mentored and mentored MasterChef Australia judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli, as well as our country’s best home cooks.”
The official MasterChef Instagram account wrote: “We are welcoming someone SUPER special to the MasterChef Kitchen.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, returns to Australia for the first time since 2018 and makes a special guest appearance this season. Joining a star-studded cast of Guest Judges and culinary icons, Meghan helps mentor some of the most impressive home cooks the competition has ever seen. Viewers flocked to comment on the post, with one saying: “Amazing #PrincessMeghan. A royal treat.”
