Meghan Markle’s brutal 7-word desription of Wimbledon visit with Kate | Royal | News

Meghan Markle previously spoke unsparingly about her experience attending Wimbledon with her sister-in-law, Princess Catherine. Meghan, who visits the UK this week for the first time since 2022, has previously attended the annual tennis tournament twice with Catherine; once in 2018, just weeks after her royal wedding to Prince Harry, and again in 2019, just weeks after welcoming Prince Archie.

She previously talked about her time in the Royal Family during the Sussexes’ bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, while heavily pregnant with their daughter, now five. The television presenter then referred to Meghan and Catherine’s joint attendance at Wimbledon, as he asked Meghan if she was “welcomed” by members of the Firm.

He said: “Did you feel welcome by everyone? It looked like you and Kate…were about to watch a friend play tennis at the Wimbledon match…

“Was it what it seemed? You were two sisters-in-law who knew each other in the world. Was she helping you, was she embracing you into the family, was she helping you fit in?”

Meghan later responded: “I think everyone welcomed me. ‘Was it what it looked like?’ “When you say, my understanding and my experience over the last four years is that nothing is as it seems.”

The family then went to Highgrove House to meet King Charles and Queen Camilla.

This marks the first time the King has seen his two youngest grandchildren in more than four years.

After leaving the venue in Birmingham at lunchtime, Harry is understood to have traveled nearly 90 miles to the King’s private residence in Gloucestershire, where Meghan, Archie and Lilibet joined him. The meeting was held privately and no photos from the meeting set were released.
