First Lady Melania Trump was seen warmly greeting attendees at a Red Cross event where she helped distribute care packages to military families for Christmas. The lip reader said, “Nice to meet you!” he claims to have said. to the guests before explaining further.
He spoke alongside Second Lady Usha Vance at the event held at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, on Monday.

Addressing US troops overseas, the First Lady said, “Please know that our nation is thinking of you, praying for you and deeply grateful for your service,” particularly “during the holidays.”
He then called on soldiers to prepare to fight on the digital battlefield amid the AI arms race.
“To win the AI war, we must train our next generation, because America’s students are the ones who will lead the Marine Corps in the future,” Trump said.
Vance, whose husband served in the Marine Corps as an Iraq War correspondent from 2003 to 2007, also expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are so grateful for continuing the Marine Corps’ proud traditions of duty, honor and service.”
“I am impressed by your commitment to building strong communities and schools,” Vance continued. “Military families truly set an example for our country and for my own family.”
Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Kathryn Wisniewski praised their decision in a written statement on behalf of the Department of Defense, which has been rebranded as the Department of War under the administration of Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is embroiled in controversy over attacks on alleged drug-smuggling ships in the Caribbean as tensions in the region escalate.
“This landmark visit was the first joint trip to both installations for both ladies and underlined their commitment to the military community,” she wrote on Nov. 21. “With the common goal of recognizing the sacrifices made by those serving or deployed this holiday season, this visit provided an invaluable opportunity for both women to connect with service members and their families.
