Melbourne Horror: Two critical among five injured in five-car crash on Monash Freeway, police launch probe

A horrific five-car crash has occurred on Melbourne’s Monash Highway, leaving five people injured, two of them in critical condition, 9News reports. According to police, the cars collided near the Stud Road ramp just after 2 p.m.

Five people, including an adult and a boy in a vehicle who were in a critical condition, were taken to hospital as police continue to investigate the devastating crash. The child was rushed to the Royal Children’s Hospital, while the woman in her 40s was taken to Alfred with upper body injuries, 9News reported.

At the time of filing this report, all outgoing lanes and one entry lane of the Monash Highway remain closed while the investigation is ongoing.
