Ranveer Singh film sees lowest earnings, still collects 10 times more than Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri

Dhurandhar became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, the third highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, the seventh highest-grossing Hindi film of all time and the highest-grossing A-certified Hindi film. The sequel, Dhurandhar Part 2, will release in theaters on March 19.

Dhurandhar box office collection day 25

Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, has had an unstoppable, record-breaking run since its release on December 5. The high-octane spy thriller, which also stars Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, Gaurav Gera and Sara Arjun, has already crossed Rs. 1100 crore at the global box office and Rs 730 crore in India. It became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time, the seventh highest-grossing Indian film of all time and the highest-grossing A-certified Indian film.

According to preliminary figures from entertainment streaming portal Sacnilk, Dhurandhar collected an estimated Rs 10.75 Million on its 25th day in theatres, i.e. on December 29. This marked a steep decline of over 50% from the previous day’s collection of Rs22.5 billion, making the fourth Monday the weakest day ever, with the lowest earnings ever. However, the Ranveer Singh starrer still performed better than Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, which released last week on Thursday, December 25, coinciding with Christmas. Ananya Panday’s romantic comedy Kartik Aaryan earned just Rs 1.75 crore on its first Monday.

The Aditya Dhar directorial revolves around Ranveer Singh’s Indian undercover intelligence agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who works under the alias Hamza Ali Mazari to infiltrate the Pakistani underworld in Lyari, Karachi, and uncover the dangerous nexus that binds gangsters, terrorists and politicians. Inspired by real-life events, the film adds a chilling realism to the narrative by making references to important events such as the hijacking of IC-814, the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Dhurandhar will be followed by its sequel Dhurandhar Part 2: Revenge, which is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026. The film is heading for a high-stakes box office showdown with Yash’s pan-India gangster epic Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma. Qureshi. Adding to the crowded release list, action drama Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap, is also scheduled to be released on the same day.
